30 Commissions for our 30th Anniversary

Piano Spheres would like to match pledges from our generous donors to make our 30 for 30 Anniversary Project a reality. 30 for 30 will commission 30 American composers to create new compositions to celebrate Piano Spheres’ 30th anniversary in 2024/25. All compositions will be premiered by Piano Spheres’ 2024/25 Artists: HOCKET (Sarah Gibson and Thomas Kotcheff), Nic Gerpe, Mark Robson, Aron Kallay, Vicki Ray, special guest Stephen Drury, Emerging Artist Thomas Mellan, and our Leonard Stein Resident Artist Andrés Jaramillo. Your donation will go toward paying composers and pianists respectful artist fees as well as concert production costs.

Piano Spheres is a 30-year-old nonprofit that presents, supports and encourages the composition and performance of major new works for the piano. We grow the piano repertoire by commissioning new music and sustaining several concert series featuring virtuoso Los Angeles based pianists, focusing primarily on music by living American composers.
