The bonded slave labor for brick workers in Pakistan is a modern example that pervasive slavery still exists, with millions of people, mostly women and children, stuck in forced and bonded labor for life.
Imagine yourself, aged 8, working in the baking sun of a muddy clay brick field. You’re forced to make 1,000 bricks every day.
And you get paid thirty-five cents for it — about the same as the interest of the loan you took from the brick kiln owner.
The YouTube documentary series “Bonded by Brick”describes the modern forced labor practices at the brick kilns in Pakistan.
Physical and sexual assault, organ harvesting and a lifetime of indentured servitude are part of the grave human atrocities that workers in the brick fields suffer.
Mr. Gill, along with his sister, mother and family, are Christian neighbors of some of these rural brickworkers.
In 2013, Mr. Gill’s family started an outdoor home ministry in their rural Abbottabad village, to support the most vulnerable among the brick laborers at the nearby kiln, especially children.
Mr. G and his family have run a modest mission since 2013 to provide basic needs, focusing on orphaned children and single mothers.
100% of donations go directly to food and clothing for these vulnerable people, like the little girl below munching on watermelon.
BACKGROUND

Help Mr. G. and his family continue their mission today with a small donation of $5 to $30.
$30 buys food for a day's operations -- mostly food, a small part dedicated to clothing, shelter and basic education for children.
The minimum operating budget for Mr. G. and his family's mission is $1,500 per month. Approximately 80% of that is spent on food.
Our goal is to generate $3,000 per month so that Mr. G can double the size of their ministry.
Mr. G., his sister and his mother have prayers to share with his donors:
"We are all here praying with many small and big hands. We especially pray for monthly food.
We pray for you and your brothers and sisters in God."
100% of donations to this GoFundMe go directly to Mr. G. and his family.
(If you would rather give directly to Mr. Gill’s family, he accepts direct Xoom donations. Mr. Gill is fluent in English and Urdu, and is active on Facebook Messenger.
