In 2022, I arrived in Uganda without knowing how much this place would change my life. Back then, Rebuild Hope School had only 200 children, four classrooms, and a small kitchen. There wasn’t even a proper floor in the yard. That year, thanks to a fundraising campaign, we were able to cement the ground, build toilets, and start what was meant to be a library.
Three years later, I came back. And what I found left me speechless.
Now, the school has grown in an incredible way:
✅ From 200 to nearly 400 children
✅ From 4 classrooms (ages 3-6) to 9 classrooms (ages 3-12)
✅ A school van to transport the kids
✅ 16 beds for children in need
✅ 16 teachers + more staff (cleaners, cooks… more than 20 people on salary!)
✅ More food provided for the children
✅ New land for expansion
✅ Rooms for teachers
✅ Two water tanks (one for drinking water and another for general use)
✅ Improved flooring
✅ A new kitchen
✅ A proper fence with a secure gate
The progress has been amazing, but there is still more to do. Right now, the new building needs windows before the rainy season makes conditions worse. Things take time here, but every little help makes a huge difference in these children’s lives.
I feel incredibly lucky to be back and see firsthand how much impact every donation has made. Because no child should be denied the right to education or a meal.
If you want to be part of this change, any support is truly appreciated. Thank you so much for helping give these children a better future.
