Hi, I'm Taya, (Max’s Mum Lisa’s bestie)

I’m hoping to raise funds for the beautiful McMahon/Rutten family at this truly difficult time.

Max is 3 years old, he normally resides in Canberra doing all the things 3-year-olds do including daycare, swimming lessons, playing with his sister, friends & puppy. Unfortunately, that all came to a sudden halt on 11 November 2025. Max was urgently flown to Sydney that night via air ambulance and diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia).

Max is receiving treatment from the wonderful people at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. Max’s continued treatment in Sydney was initially estimated to be 8 months but that will likely be extended now as in the recent days Max has officially been categorized as 'medium risk' and will require additional treatments.

This situation is devastating for everyone who knows and loves Wade, Lisa, Heidi, Max & their extended family. Besides rolling up your sleeves & donating blood, this go fund me is another way of helping them navigate and take some pressure off through this heart wrenching ordeal & upheaval from their lives & home.
