Hello, my name is Amy Soranno and I'm an animal activist from Kelowna, BC. I'm calling on my friends and family to read this story and consider donating towards these calves if you're able to.
On December 23rd a Christmas miracle happened! Critteraid, a BC animal sanctuary, drove from Summerland to Abbotsford to rescue 3 young calves from a dairy farm.
An employee from this dairy farm had a change of heart and was desperate to find a forever home/sanctuary for these babies, instead of sending them off to the slaughterhouse (as per usual). Thankfully, Critteraid so generously stepped in to help! As we speak, these amazing self-less people are caring for and bottle-feeding these little calves every 4 hours over the Christmas holidays.
That being said, Critteraid is left with a mounting bill of unexpected transportation costs, vet bills, bottles, formula, and the list goes on! The calves have pneumonia and require multiple $200 shots of medicine each. Needless to say, this is just the start of an expensive journey for Critteraid and their new babies.
Let's spread the holiday spirit and come together as a community to pitch in and help save these babies & give back to the sanctuary who so graciously took on such an immense task. I will be providing Critteraid with a cheque of the final donations once they come in. Thank you so much.
