3 Peaks Challenge In Aid For The Salvation Army
We are completing the three peak challenge to raise money for the Salvation Army in Memory of Mary Tozer, who passed away on the 22nd of May 2021 at the age of 59. The Salvation Army was a cause very close to Mary's heart and she regularly donated to them. The charity does work in 132 countries and has wide reaching aims including providing poverty relief, disaster aid and support for homeless people.
This challenge will be undertaken by Mary's 2 sons - Eddie and max, as well as friends Jubril, Elliot and Eli. Mary's Husband Roger will be behind the wheel for the challenge.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km), the total ascent is 3064 meters (10,052ft) and the total driving distance is 462 miles. The total distance climbed vertically is the equivalent to scaling the shard 10 times. All 3 of these climbs including the driving in between will be done in less than 24 hours.
