Our Story
On August 30th, our world changed. My wonderful husband, James, suffered a sudden brain bleed that led to hydrocephalus and a stay in the Neuro ICU. He has endured brain surgery, weeks of intensive care, and the rollercoaster of confusion, delirium, and rehabilitation.
James is only 52 years old. He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man who has always worked hard to provide for our family. Even in the midst of this fight, he shows his humor, his strength, and his love—telling me and our daughter how much he loves us, even while his mind and body are still healing.
Where We Are Now
James is progressing, but recovery from a brain hemorrhage in the pons is long, unpredictable, and demanding. He requires constant supervision, intensive therapies, and medical care. There are moments of clarity where he jokes and remembers us, and moments of deep confusion and agitation. Each day is a mix of victories and challenges.
Why We Need Help
The costs of hospital care, rehabilitation, missed work, and ongoing needs are overwhelming. While we focus on James’s recovery and keeping our home and family steady, we are asking for support to help ease the financial burden—so we can give him the best chance at recovery without the constant fear of bills.
How You Can Help
Your donation will go toward:
• Medical and rehabilitation costs
• Home adjustments and care needs
• Daily living expenses while James is unable to work
• Giving our daughter stability during this uncertain time
From My Heart
James is my rock, my partner, my best friend, as most of you know.. I call him my playmate for life. He is a man who has always shown up for others, and now he needs a community to show up for him. Every donation, every share, and every prayer means the world to us.
Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
With love,
RileyGrace & Danielle
