On Saturday, October 28th the foster for Ace reached out that he was abnormally lethargic and not eating. He had thrown up quite a few times the day before and she was concerned. The rescue approved her to go to Atlantic Coast in Bohemia for an emergency assessment. They did x-rays and found he has an intestinal obstruction and needs surgery.

The costs are expected to be in the $5000 range. As a small rescue, a large unexpected medical bill like this is devastating. We will do what needs to be done to save this kitten's life, but taking a financial hit like this greatly reduces our risk in helping other cats in need.
