3 marathons in 6 weeks for German Shepherd Rescue

I'm raising money in aid of Central German Shepherd Rescue, and every donation will help.

German Shepherd Dogs (GSDs) are known for their intelligence, but they are also, playful, affectionate and loyal.

Central German Shepherd Rescue (CGSR) is a small charity established in 2015 dedicated to rescuing, fostering and rehoming GSDs (and cross-breed GSDs) in need, to provide care and treatment when appropriate for those dogs that are unwanted or neglected, and to educate people on GSDs.

CGSR, which operates primarily in Central England, is run only by volunteers and is entirely dependent on donations. Having fostered and adopted a rescue GSD from the charity, I can vouch for the dedication of the CGSR volunteers, and the support provided.

CGSR operate a full aftercare service providing advice and support, including full rescue back-up for all dogs – which can include financial or medical support, or rehome or fostering dogs where circumstances require this. To support CGSR, I will be attempting to run three full marathons in six weeks. These are:

• The Boston UK Marathon on 28 April 2024;

• The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on 12 May 2024; and

• The Cork City Marathon, Ireland on 2 June 2024.

All donations (except the transaction fee) will go to CGSR; no donations will be used towards entry fees, accommodation or travel expenses.

Please support CGSR and this effort by donating if you can, sharing this on social media, spreading the word, or coming out to support me at any of the marathons.

A separate donation will be made by me to an Irish dog rescue charity local to Cork (charity TBC) after the marathons have been run.
