This November, Donna and I will be running three marathons in 14 days for Dave. Beginning on the 16th of November, we will run the first marathon, then complete an ultra marathon (50 km) on the 23rd, followed by a final marathon on the 30th.

Dave has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Duodenum, an incredibly rare and aggressive cancer that has already spread to his liver. Fewer than 25 cases have been recorded worldwide.

His only option is urgent Immunotherapy treatment, which costs £7,672 per month for two years totaling £184,128. Due to the rarity of this cancer, the NHS and Dave’s insurance are unable to fund the treatment.
