3 interactive kinetic art installations to Burning Man
Donation protected
These three interactive kinetic art installations are nearly complete, but i need to buy a lot more lights, batteries, and cover transport costs to bring them to burning man and festivals so that people can play with them and enjoy them. I'm Shawn Siochain, an artist whose 25 year career in international humanitarian work was cut off by doge when USAID was dismantled this year. While trying to find new work, i have poured my energy and soul into also creating this art for others to enjoy.
The Eye-Full tower contains a working see-saw that causes the eyes to move, the spire to pump to the sky, and other eyes to open and close with the see-saw movement. Franklin's Tower is a giant music box that plays the Grateful Dead tune on chimes while revealing scenes from the lyrics when people spin the carousel. The Eyes of the Whirled is a spinning carousel with eyes that spin through the zodiac, seasons, and elements when people spin the carousel. All three are also powered by rechargeable batteries to light up and night and create additional motion.
I am deeply appreciative to the festivals who have been providing venues and to Burning Man org for giving me placement at Center Camp and to Plaisance theme camp. However, I've bitten off more than my unemployed savings can chew, so I am asking for help to buy more lights, more paint, and help with the transport costs for all three of these installations.
