Hello Everyone, My name is Maya and I'm 30 years old. My twin sisters, Monet & Monique are 21. And we want to tell you a story about our mother Shelley, who was the center of our entire world. Our Mother, Shelley Lynn Saunders was born to Beverly Saunders and Teto  on January 16th, 1970. She grew up in the Tasker Projects and spent her life in the Philadelphia Public School system. At an early age, she had a passion for all things hair and beauty! Once completing her education, she worked full-time at Prim and Proper, an upscale beauty salon. She loved music, with some of her favorite artists being Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and Mary J. Blige. She loved to dance and always kept up with the most recent tik tok trends and dance challenges. She loved to cook and make meals to feed her three girls, who she loved the most in the world. She even started a home Youtube channel to upload her cooking videos. During Covid, She was restricted from seeing her daughters, which hurt her, but found comfort in their safety. She had battled diabetes in the past and went through a major diet change and lost the weight she needed to have a healthy restart on life. In the last year, she was diagnosed with heart failure. Early Friday Morning, Shelley was rushed to the hospital, and despite the work of her doctors, succumbed to a blood clot which stopped her heart. While my sisters and I are devastated, we want to give her a homegoing worthy of who she was to everyone whose life she touched. Any donation would help and is already greatly appreciated. Mom, this is a loss we will never overcome, but remembering the amazing times we had with you will keep your memory alive forever. As your daughters, we will make you proud. While no amount of time could have ever been enough, we will cherish the time that we had with you.
