3 Cats, 1 Human and Homeless - In Need of Stability

Back in February, my world fell apart. I lost my house, my job and my long term partner, all within a short period of time. The council do not see me as a priority, therefore my waiting time to be able to bid on properties, is 10-15 years.

Throughout the 9 months it has been, I have been sleeping in my car, and thanks to the amazing people of tiktok, and the power of social media, I have managed to stay in hotels for short periods.

As you can imagine this is a lot of moving around, and instability, often not knowing where I will be the next day. Being given the option to stay in hotel’s has been incredible, it has meant I have a bed, a shower, and a safe place, for both me and the cats.

The previous go fund me, which was to raise money for a deposit on a house, has hit its target, something I never imagined could happen. People truly are amazing.

However there are more factors to be considered and more requirements that need to be met by landlords when renting a property. One of these being a job. I have been on the job hunt for the whole 9 months i have been homeless, but I have had no luck. Nobody wants to take on somebody with no stability, they can’t rely on someone who might have to ring up to say sorry I can’t

work today because I am living in my car, have nowhere for my cats, or my belongings.

This is where I am longing for your help. If we can raise £1500, I will be able to book a longer term stay in a hotel, in advance, and be able to start working. Once I have secured a job & worked for this time, I will then be a huge step forward to being able to put a deposit down somewhere and finally have a place to call my home.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I understand money is a struggle for a lot of people with the current cost of living crisis.
