3 brain aneurysms! Please help Jackie McDonald.

A life can change in an instant.

Jackie McDonald’s did, when her trip to a local store changed everything.

Walking down the aisle, she was struck in the head by a heavy power tool as it fell from a high shelf. Stunned but seemingly okay, Jackie did what she always does when life throws something at her – she shook it off and carried on. That’s who she is.

Unfortunately, the story doesn’t end there.

Beset by migraines, light sensitivity, and nausea, Jackie quickly realized that maybe this was something she couldn’t shake off. She went to the Emergency Room to get checked out, worrying that she had a concussion.

Instead, an MRI revealed that she had a brain aneurysm. A large one. And further examination revealed not one, but three separate aneurysms developing behind her eye. They were too large to remove. They threatened not only her vision, but her life.

Jackie needs major brain surgery to clip off the blood vessels leading to the aneurysms so that they will not break free and cause catastrophic brain damage. Or worse, death.

And she needs our help.

For twenty-eight years, Jackie has served the communities of New Jersey as a banker and bank manager with Valley Bank. Whenever her customers or coworkers needed something, Jackie was there for them with a smile, a laugh, a wave, or a shoulder to cry on. She has helped countless people through the best and worst of times, and has been a mentor, coach, and friend to pretty much everyone she’s ever met.

Her kindness resonates through the communities she has served. Now, she needs that kindness returned.

It is unclear how long Jackie will be out of work. If everything goes perfectly, she might be in recovery for two or three months. If everything doesn’t go perfectly, she might have a long road ahead of her. Her life might never be the same.

Either way, her bills will need to be paid, and on top of them, a whole heap of medical bills will begin to pile up.
