Alisha's Vision Therapy

Donation protected
My daughter, Alisha, has a visual scanning deficit that has severly impacted her everyday life. She will often opt to stay home instead of joining the family because she knows she will be sick from the car ride. She will lose her balance out of no where. Alisha works 400% harder to read than the average 12 year old! Yet, Alisha is really smart. She has been struggling in school and at home but now we know why. The testing we had over the summer revealed Alisha has Accommodative Dysfunction and Oculomotor Dysfunction. 30 hours of orthoptic therapy has been recommended for her but is not covered by insurance. This therapy will very likely be life alterating for Alisha. Because of her challenges, we've opted to school her privately, at home. We are a single income family, trying to survive in a dual income world. We would be very grateful to give our daughter an opportunity for a better life. Other kids I've heard about that get this needed therapy, commonly shift grade levels academically.... but it is so much deeper than that for her. She avoids movement and is easily overwhelmed visually which, as you can imagine, effects everything! But it doesn't have to be that way. We can treat it and give her the visual wings to fly!

Please consider a donation so we can start her therapy as soon as possible. The provider requires payment in advance so we need the full amount to begin treatment. Thank you for your generosity and consideration!
