A WIDOW WITH A DAUGHTER IN NEED OF HELP IN MOVING. My name is Vicci Mauldin and I have a daughter named Liannah. We lost our beloved husband/her father in March of 2011. Since then my daughter has been receiving a Social Security Survivorship check and it will end in June of this year. I had a check until she turned 16 years old. I am back out working in the work force after being in the home for 15 and one-half years after taking care of my family for medical needs. I am older now and behind in the technology and new computer programs that are in the world today and am catching up slowly. Before I retired to stay home, I had a well established career in the work force serving law firms and attorneys for over 20 years in Tennessee. I have tried to obtain a job back in the legal field, but they want Bachelor's degrees for their legal secretaries of which I do not have. I actually have my master's in my mind, but they will not look at me. At this point in time, I have only been able to find a job in the retail industry, of which I am very thankful. But it does not pay well. I had hopes of obtaining a good paying job when I re-entered the working world, but that has not come about after trying to obtain a better job with better pay to take care of us. We are in need of help in July, since my daughter's SS check will be gone to pay bills and expenses and need help in funding our move to Virginia. We are now down sizing more and getting ready to move to Virginia to be closer to family and start a new life and to work and survive in this area of the country. We are going to sell all of what we can and donate what we can to CCA. We are not able to survive in the DFW area due to it being too expensive and all Section 8 Housing in our area is shut down and there are two year waiting lists all around us. All doors are closed for me being able to find a better job to support us. My daughter will get a job after she graduates high school when we move to Virginia to help supplement our income and she will not go to college right now. I turn to you in hopes that maybe you can help us pay our July bills and expenses and move and get resettled in a less expensive region of the country. We will not take much with us and will pack up our van and travel to Virginia at the end of July, when our lease runs out. Will you please help us? The family that I do have is not able to help us in this new venture in our life. If you can help us, we surely would appreciate it. Prayers are what we cherish the most. Thank you.
