Braylon’s Battle

Braylon is an active 11-year-old with a creative soul. When she is not riding around on her hoverboard, she loves spending time making jewelry and drawing.

Braylon recently fell off a bunk bed and landed on her tailbone. As time passed, the tailbone pain did not go away as expected. On Monday 1/9/23, Braylon’s mom, Niki, took her to the emergency room and doctors found much more than an injured tailbone from a bunk bed fall. A mass was found on Braylon’s lower spine, with a diagnosis of Sarcoma Cancer. In addition to the mass, doctors have identified spots on various parts of her bones and in her lungs.

Braylon began chemotherapy on 1/13/23 to shrink the tumor and will have to undergo surgery after completing chemo. She has a long recovery road ahead.

Braylon’s family has not left her side at the hospital and has been with her through the biopsies, tests, and treatment. Their world has been turned upside down very quickly. Niki is not able to attend work as Braylon needs her mom by her side while she fights this battle. Medical expenses and bills are quickly adding up, causing additional hardship during the most critical time of their life.
