Let's Help Lindsay

Many of you are aware of the severe medical issues of my sister, Lindsay Lucchese has endured throughout her pregnancy. She's had hyperemesis gravidarum beginning in her 5th week of pregnancy and has lost 25 pounds from this alone. Now, at 28 weeks, she has been diagnosed with a lacerated spleen. She had nearly a liter of blood removed from her abdominal cavity at Elkhart General Hospital on Sat April 23rd. After an MRI and ultrasound, they still did not know where the blood was coming from so they transferred her to Memorial Hospital of Southbend. Upon arriving there Sat evening they gave her 4 units of blood. They performed a CT scan and finally found the issue in her spleen. On Monday morning at 430am she was rushed into emergency surgery as her blood levels dropped. They repaired her spleen and moved her to ICU for close observation. They are still not sure if the repair held and there is talk of transferring her to Indianapolis if she needs another surgery to remove the spleen. Thankfully baby Knox has remained stable throughout her health issues, but there is still a significant chance he will be delievered early. Lindsays medical bills alone are becoming overwhelming.  Our imediate family is helping as much as possible but I felt moved to try to help her by seting up this gofundme page.  My sister is a wonderful mother who hasn't been able to work due to her medical condition. She does not deserve everything that has happend to her over the last 6 months, and Im praying for all of you to join me in helping to lessen her burden by making a donation.
