- Hi my name is Asia and I have a beautiful 14 year old daughter named Ava that has been battling with Mental Health issues for several years. We have tried everything possible to help her. Ava was referred for SIPP placement into a mental health facility. This has been a very trying time for myself and my family. We feel all alone as we all know that Mental Health is not something that is easily discussed. Ava has been baker acted 4 times within the last year with suicidal attempts and ideations. Multiple changes in medication and counseling to try and make her better. We are no closer than we were at the very beginning of this journey. I want to have my funny caring daughter back. I want to have Ava experience all that life has to offer. Ava has missed so much school and being around her peers and all the things like 8th grade dances and prom. I want to be able to give my daughter the best chance at life. I work full time and have had to miss so much work to attend appointments with Ava and constant phone calls from case managers trying to arrange care for her. Ava was admitted to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility and has been 5+ hours away from me and the rest of her family for 33 days. Ava has not been in her home full time since February. Yes we get brief conversations with her for just a few minutes maybe twice a week but that is it. It’s starting to really take a toll. Ava doesn’t seem to be progressing if anything she seems to have taken a few steps backward. Her therapist says she needs the entire 6 months of treatment and then continued outpatient treatment once she returns home. Any donations that are received would be used to provide Ava with any of her out of pocket cost of treatment as we have private insurance with a high deductible and high out of pocket. As well as cost of transportation, food and lodging for family visitation while she is away from home. We miss our daughter and her siblings miss their sister. Please consider donating and praying for our family.
