Baby Liam was born on March 9th 2016 due to an insufficient placenta. He had severe Intra Uterine Growth Restriction and only weighed 13.9oz (395grams) and 10.5 inches long. Liam has been in the University of Kentucky NICU his whole life. During his stay he has battled a lot of complications but overcame most of them. He was only a couple weeks away from being home before we found out he was sick again, this time with the Rhino Virus (for the second time) He fought through the cold like a champ and we thought for sure everything was back to normal. We didn't know at the time what the cold was doing to his lungs. He lost a lot of lung volume, and with the lung disease he has (BPD) this was a major set back. He had to go back on the ventilator, went up to 100% oxygen, and an ECHO confirmed that he has Pulmonary Hypertension, which can be deadly. He started Nitric Oxide and medications, but it wasnt helping. Yesterday (9/12/16) he had to be intubated (what we prayed so hard to avoid) He is in critical condition and his Dad will be having to take off work for some time to be with him and me at the hospital. All donations are very appreciated. If you cannot donate please pray for our son.
