School of Americas Watch (SOAW) is bringing together activists, musicians, artists, puppetistas, and speakers from all over Latin America to the Border in Nogales, Sonora/Arizona from October 7th -10th to push back against militarization of the border, against criminalization of migrants and refugees and to name the root causes of migration. www.soaw.org/border
The voices of the Peace Poets are heard in many of the social movements of our time and we would like for them to be able to join us on the border. Your donation will help us cover their travel and lodging costs at the Convergence.
The Peace Poets are a collective of artists that celebrate, examine and advocate for life through music and poetry. Their art can take you on a journey from the Boogie Down to Berlin, from the border to the bodega. Their style emphasizes lyricism, rhythm and authenticity.
