Sierra's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marina and I'm initiating this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin Sierra Pecor.
Sierra is currently in the hospital with two broken legs, a broken foot, a dislocated knee, eight broken ribs, internal bleeding and a level 3 lacerated liver. She spent three days in the ICU where nurses referred to her as being "really broken." Since then, she's had multiple surgeries and possibly more to come. Sierra will continue to have life-long lasting effects from this horrible tragedy. Sierra didn't deserve this.
On Sunday, March 17th at 10:50pm Sierra was crossing the street at the intersection of Water Street and Highland Avenue, and out of nowhere a SUV struck her. Not only was this street barricaded and blocked off to any vehicular traffic, but the driver was also speeding at a rate of almost 100 mph. The driver did not stop, they left Sierra laying in the middle of the street without a care in the world. We pray that whoever did this will be found, she deserves justice.
Sierra's road to recovery will be a long one and with that comes monthly expenses, medical bills and even adaptive equipment in order for her to walk again. Being an entrepreneur Sierra is responsible for so much - but now she's required to spend the next 6+ months in therapy to regain her ability to live a normal life. I'm creating this fundraiser in hopes to lift the burden that Sierra now faces financially, we want her to be able to focus 100% on recovery. Whether its $1 or $20, every dollar helps.
I'd like to personally add that Sierra has remained in great spirits despite her circumstances. Every single day she has gotten stronger. Sierra is thankful to be ALIVE and knows that this could've unfortunately been much worse. She is so grateful for all of the love and prayers that she's received and continues to receive. <3
Thank you!
Marina
