Our family is looking for financial support for my Aunt, Karen Murray and her family in Buna, TX.
On July 26, Karen suffered a stroke in Alabama while travelling with Uncle Ed from Pittsburgh back to Texas after a family reunion.
In the last four weeks, she has been taken off sedation in STICU and is responsive enough to be relocated to long term care. We are sure the countless prayers and the determined, stubborn Karen we know and love has brought our family this far.
Her progress has been significant, but the road ahead is long and uncertain. Karen will remain in Alabama until further notice and Uncle Ed, their three kids and several other family members have sat vigil with her and will continue to do so. They are using vacation or unpaid time from work and travelling hundreds of miles to be with her.
Today, August 22, is Karen's 62nd Birthday... I'm sure she will have something to say when she finds out I shared her age! We're very grateful and blessed that she is still with us, we would appreciate any donation you can afford. All funds will be given to Uncle Ed for his use in care of their family.
