It all started in Sept, when Lillian was diagnosed with Meningitis.. Where she was hospitalized at St.Paul Childrens hospital.. She started getting better, but had small headaches continuously.. Frequently visting the nurse at school...
The first week of Dec, Lillian complained of a stiff neck and headache.. As she got up from laying down ,she became dizzy and very nauseous.. Which concerened her mom.
They made another trip to Childrens, just to be told she is suffering with migrain headaches.. But Andrea wasn't convinced that what it was. So she took her to the Uof M Childrens hospital where they did extensive tests and found a mass on Lillians brain. Not knowing what it was, they did many other tests.. They conclued she had AVM... Which is Arteriovenous malformation .. which means is a tangle of arteries and veins in the brain.. It was something she was born with.. But undetectable unless the veins rupture.. When they followed up with further tests, they also saw Lillian had an anerysym, in which needed to be taken care of right away.. So on Dec 27th, they attempted to do a catheter angiogram.. Unfortunately, her veins were to small and it was to risky. She has already had two ruptures and afraid she will have another. So now they are trying to get many speciality surgeons together to do brain surgery to remove the AVM..
Andrea is a hard working mother, who will now have many medical bills coming in.. So if you can help her at all, I ask please help.. she is a strong women, but could really use all our prayers and assistance thru this hard time.. Please keep Lillian in your thoughts and prayers..
