"Troy J. Jordan, 49, of Shawnee, passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 29, 2015. Family was always first in Troy’s life, he was a dedicated husband, father and Paddy. On March 17, 2006 he married Dorothy Boudreau in Liberty, Missouri. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his children, McKinsey Jordan, Tyler Jordan, Shannon Jordan, Emilee Jordan, Brianna Smith, Tori Frazier and husband Grant; his parents, Bobbie and Joe Jordan; four grandchildren, Brooklynn Smith, Tucker Smith, Kinadee Frazier and Carson James Frazier."

Rarely does one come across an individual who is so special, so full of life and so thankful for the ways in which God has blessed them that you are forced to stop and count your own blessings. There are a cherished few that refuse to see anything but the positive side of life. It seems to them that no matter how bad things may seem, they can always be worse. Those of us that knew Troy Jordan know that he was that special person.

Troy never met a stranger and those that knew Troy, loved Troy. He never had an unkind word for anyone and treated everyone around him as though they'd been lifelong friends.

We ask that you help if you are able but if not, that's ok too. Just pray for his family and all those close to them. We also ask that you do your best to respect Troy's own wishes:

1. 3 shots - preferably McCormick's Irish Whiskey and
2. No tears.

Good luck on #2 but we'll take care of #1, Troy.

I've found myself asking "Why Troy?" a lot this week. I honestly don't have a reasonable answer to that. I can only offer the way I think Troy might answer that. I believe Troy would say, "So it did not have to happen to anyone else."
