I have created this fund because the last three years, I have watched my friends Danielle and Michael endure so much tragedy, loss and pain. I have witnessed Danielle experience pure agony when she received the news that her brother was tragically murdered two years ago, coupled with two failed rounds of IVF. She and Michael are some of the sweetest people I know and they deserve to have a smile on their faces and an opportunity to be parents. This is an attempt to bring joy and happiness to their lives so they can move onto their next chapter, as mommy and daddy; as they are yearning to have a sweet baby of their own. Danielle and Michael are desperate to have a baby. Due to a procedure as a child, Michael cannot have children naturally. Their only option is through IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization.) The cost of this procedure is high, in excess of $15,000 per round. Danielle and Michael have already gone through two rounds-both have failed. The terrible news that the second procedure was unsuccessful brought sadness and devastation to Danielle and Michael yet again and left them with no more options since the cost of the procedure is so high. Without this campaign, they may have lost their only chance. Michael is a Police Sergeant and selflessly serves his community. He has worked countless hours of overtime and off duty details to make this dream a reality-only to be met with a negative pregnancy test at the end of the agonizing two week wait.
