My name is Amanda and on Wednesday, January 6th I was the victim of a slashing while walking to work early in the morning. The man, who I had never met before, waited until I passed him on the sidewalk, then slashed the left side of my face with a blade and ran away. I took an ambulance to Bellevue Hospital where I received 7 stitches. The man was later caught thanks to a citizen who recognized him from a local news report.


I am looking to raise money to help pay for my medical expenses, possible future surgeries for my scars and to help me get back on my feet as I take time to recover from this life-changing attack. Any support would be greatly appreciated!
