Jack Gilfillian, a Jack Russell, is my sweet pup. I adopted him on Jan. 31, 2016 in State College, Pa., and since that time he has made life better for me, my family, friends, and pretty much everyone he meets at Penn State.
Jack is 9 years old and on Sept. 10 emergency vets determined he had suffered a collapsed trachea. Now, he is in an oxygen tank and has trouble breathing.
Jack requires surgery - by all accounts the surgery is usually very successful - but it is an expensive procedure. I will pay for it and just deal with the debt because I love him, but I am hoping a few folks will help me along the way.
Jack's procedure requires construction of a custom-made stent, which will be inserted in his trachea. The stent and procedure will cost in excess of $4,500, according to doctors at Metzger's Animal Hospital.
If you can contribute, it would be much appreciated. If not, please send your prayers for my little love.
Thank you for reading.
