Marching Thunder Trailer Campaign
We are the Marching Thunder Alumni and Parent (MTAP) group. We are NOT affiliated officially with Alpine School District, Westlake High School Marching Band, band program or the Westlake High School Band Boosters. We are in the process of setting up a registered charitable non-profit organization. We donate all funds raised here to the Westlake High School Marching Thunder of Saratoga Springs, UT. During the last school year, the band used a large portion of their budget to purchase a 53' semi trailer, which is used to haul uniforms, equipment and props for this award-winning band. Please understand that the student fees were NOT used to purchase the trailer. It was a one time, discretionary budget item that was to be used for uniforms or equipment and it was decided that it be used to purchase equipment--one LARGE piece of equipment. The band had not been given more this year or any for the foreseeable future to help with the finishing the trailer as it needs to happen.
Now the inside of the trailer is still...well, empty and the outside is well...blank. This year the band is traveling to Indianapolis for the Bands of America Grand Nationals. We would simply like these great kids to have a trailer that announces who they are and also makes it possible to haul their equipment in the most efficient manner possible. The funds will deposited into an account set up soley for this purpose. These kids have put a LOT of time into this trailer already. It was the band kids who scraped off all the decals so the trailer could be painted and most of that was done by hand with heat guns, blow dryers and razer blades! Let's now help them out and get the rest of this done!

Help us help these young people roll up to their competition in the trailer they deserve. We are bed-room community with not very many businesses and those have done what they can. Now we are asking for your help. Please donate what you can!
