Je m'appelle Lisa Woodruffe et je suis une bonne amie de Capucine Chartrand. Je ramasse des fonds aujourd'hui pour notre belle Capucine qui vit une épreuve inattendue et difficile. On fait appel à vous, sa communauté inspirante, afin de l'aider avec tous ses besoins pour les prochains mois car elle ne pourra pas travailler comme elle souhaitait.

Notre soeur et amie courageuse a été diagnostiqué avec un cancer du sein stade 2 le 23 septembre et s'est fait opérée le 21 octobre. Ça s'est bien passé et elle a reçu un soutien énorme dans sa nouvelle communauté à Whitehorse (elle y habite depuis 2 ans maintenant, c’est donc là qu’est son assurance-maladie mais ne l'est plus au Québec et ne peut donc revenir pour l'instant.)

Suite à son rendez-vous du 2 décembre avec l’oncologue médical à Vancouver, Capucine a appris qu’elle doit faire 8 traitements de chimiothérapie supplémentaires pendant 4 mois à Whitehorse et éventuellement environ au moins 1 mois de radiothérapie à Vancouver. Cette nouvelle la laisse sous le choc et rallonge de 6 mois les traitements prévus.

Elle reçoit présentement du chômage maladie ce qui couvre difficilement les frais du coût de la vie. Les 8 prochains mois seront entièrement dédiés à sa santé et à sa guérison sans pouvoir travailler.

Chaque petit montant fera une différence dans les prochains mois pour assurer une paix d’esprit, du moins financière, considérant qu'elle comptait sur son travail pour payer les prochains mois de loyer et ses besoins de base au Yukon mais aussi à Vancouver. Aussi, Capucine croit fermement que la médecine moderne est plus efficace lorsqu’elle est accompagnée des plantes médicinales (quelle surprise!), des produits naturels et de bonnes thérapeutes holistiques (herboriste, psy, ostéo, etc…) donc votre aide lui permettra d'avoir accès à des soins de qualité.

Rappelez-vous que si vous voulez donner directement à Capucine, vous pouvez lui envoyer de l'argent à son adresse courriel. Vu qu'on veut la protéger contre les pourriels, vous pouvez lui contacter par Facebook afin de lui demander ses infos. Aussi, vous n'êtes pas obligés de laisser un pourboire à Go Fund Me car ils prennent déjà un pourcentage des fonds amassés.

My name is Lisa Woodruffe and I am a good friend of Capucine Chartrand's. I am raising funds for our beautiful Capucine who is currently living through some very difficult moments that were entirely unplanned. We are asking you, her inspiring community, to help with her needs over the coming months as she is not able to work as she had planned.

Our sister and courageous friend was diagonosed with Stage 2 breast cancer on September 23 and underwent an operation on October 21. Everything went very well, especially with the incredible support of her new community in Whitehorse. She has lived there for 2 years, has her health insurance there, and thus is not insured in Québec.

Following her appointment on December 2 with the medical oncologist in Vancouver, she found out that she would need 8 more chemotherapy treatments over the course of 4 months in Whitehorse, as well as 1 month of radiotherapy in Vancouver. This news left her in shock as it would extend the treatments by 6 months.

She now receives unemployment benefits due to illness, but they only minimally cover the cost of living. The next 8 months will be entirely dedicated to her health and healing in the Yukon without being able to work.

Every little bit of financial assistance will help in the coming months, ensuring peace of mind, at least financially, especially considering she had been planning on working in order to pay for rent and food, both in Whitehorse but also in Vancouver for her radiation treatments. Also, Capucine strongly believes that modern medicine is even more effective when combined with medicinal plants (what a surprise!), natural products and good holistic therapists (herbalists, psychologists, osteopaths) so your help will also help her to have access to quality care.
