This is Archie he is 6 years old and all he wants is to live like any other child his age. Archie has many difficulties including hypotonia (low muscle tone) scoliosis where he's currently on the list for spinal surgery, epilepsy, a leg length discrepancy and severe learning disabilities. He uses a walking frame and a wheelchair for longer distances. In spite of all this he is a happy, sociable and very funny little boy who always has a big smile for everyone. He never complains and he gets on enjoying life. But as parents we want him to have the best childhood he can and what do we all remember as kids growing up? Our first ever bike! There are so many kids in the neighbourhood on scooters and bikes that Archie sees and just wants to join in. This specialist trike is bespoke and custom built that helps him to pedal with minimum effort. It was a joy to watch him trying one out he loved it and you could see he was so proud of himself giving him independence. So it would be amazing to see him out and about like all the other children. Unfortunately they come with an incredible price tag. We are proud and hate to ask but given our circumstances we feel we have to try for his sake. Any donation no matter how small would mean an enormous amount to us as a family and our gratitude would be boundless. Thank you for reading
