Help Devin Continue His Fight
My name is Kayla (Devins Mom), and writing this is so hard right now, having to face reality.
Devin is only 2 years old. He loves Spider-Man and superheroes, Playdoh, Dinosaurs, and all things boy. The things he should have to worry about instead of Cancer.
He runs around pretending to save the world, unaware that right now, he is the one fighting the biggest battle of his life.
Our world shattered when Devin was diagnosed with brain cancer. Just one month before his diagnosis, we suffered an unimaginable loss when Devin’s baby sister passed away.
Before we could even process that grief, we were thrown into hospital rooms, scans, and fear that never seems to end. Devin endured 31 rounds of radiation, 6 months of harsh chemotherapy and for a period of time, his tumor remained stable.
We clung to that hope with everything we had — until today. 1/09/2025 Today, we received news that changed everything and forced us to face a new and frightening chapter. We are now urgently looking into new treatment options that require my full-time care and constant presence. Because of this, I am unable to work and have become financially unstable, struggling to keep up with medical expenses, housing, travel, and even basic daily needs. Because of Devin’s illness, we were forced to relocate away from home, leaving behind stability and familiarity. Every day feels uncertain, and every night I pray for strength as I try to balance survival with being everything my son needs. Through all of this, I have one heck of a testimony. There is so much more to our story than words can fit here. Devin is small, but he is incredibly strong. His smile, his laughter, and his love for superheroes remind me every day why I keep fighting for him. All I want is to give my son the care, comfort, and chance he deserves without having to choose between being present for him and surviving financially. I am humbly asking for help.
