Fighting cancer
My name is Denise Brown.I'm a Christian(member of Christ Fellowship) and a Florida native .I was born in Daytona beach fl, but i reside in West Palm Beach fl.I attended college at "Texas Southern University" in Houston Texas for pediatric nursing( even though life took me in another route.)I became a beauty specialist.I have four kids and four grandkids! Four of which live with me.I have two kids that are 12&13 years old ,that are in pre-law,study karate,cheer,and are a member of the Jr.National Honor Society two years in a row.
In march of 1997, my mom who was a elementary school teacher in palm beach county,passed away from multiple myeloma. March 2017, i drove myself to the hospital after my sons karate class trying to find out why i was having trouble walking and why i was in so much pain for so many months 'even though i had been under my primary Dr's care. Having x-rays,MRIs., Ect at the emergency room only to be told i wasnt leaving the hospital due to the fact that i had bone cancer (multiple myeloma). Then having to have immediately have blood transfusions,chemotherapy,radiation,steroids, I.Vs and and a biopsy.Now having to live daily life in a wheelchair and using a walker' taking daily regimens of pills,pain patches etc.
Being a single mom, and i cannot work' Ive used up all my savings these past months Ive applied for disability; but the law for that is you have to be disabled for 5 months before you can get your first disability payment! I now have to ask for help. I need help with prescriptions and monthly injections that are not covered by the insurance ,household bills,& essentials.I have to have a bone marrow/stem cell transplant in September 2017 & I have to stay in the hospital out of town for a month after the transplant .So im going to need boarding, food , and transportation for my kids back and forth due to school being back im session during that time! Also, i just finished my first round of radiation due to the large tumor in my right hip that was breaking my bone.( thats why im not mobile, myeloma interferes with bone growth and repair).
I am extremely embarrassed to ask for help financially but i am unable to afford this by myself, if you or anyone you know can help me please share this! Thank you for everything that you can do and i appreciate you. Please help me fight this fight with multiple myeloma ! Its no cure but it is a maintenance cancer!. It came and took my mom from me -even though its said not to be hereditary and the cause is not known! I'm going to fight and not let it take me from my kids and my grandkids! i have faith and i believe in god and he has the final say!⚘
