Hi, my name is Shannon Samsel and I'm fundraising for my friends and neighbors, the Quinn's. Shane and Colleen's daughter, Abby, is a13 year old Chenango Forks Middle School student and was recently diagnosed with ANCA vasculitis after a serious medical emergency. ANCA vasculitis is an autoimmune disease affecting small blood vessels in the body where the white blood cells are attacked and destroyed. This disease has compromised Abby's lungs necessitating the use of a ventilator for weeks. Unfortunately, this disease has no cure and will require treatment for the rest of Abby's life. Abby has been hospitalized since June 9, 2021 and her parents and sister, Alex, have been by her side this entire time. This has obviously put an emotional and financial strain on the Quinn's as they fight for Abby's life. The purpose of this fund is to ask our community to help ease some of the financial burden so that the Quinn's can focus solely on Abby and her well-being. With community help and prayers, the hope is that Abby will return to her everyday routine of school, friends, and basketball. Please help us reach or exceed our goal and show this loving family that they are part of a community who cares.
