Bear Needs Your Help
Donation protected

My heart broke. I knew his chances of adoption were slim, due to his disabilities and age, and made the decision I would give him a second chance by adopting him.
Almost two years have passed and Bear has been a blessing. He loves his siblings (Hannah and Fenway), kisses and belly rubs.
Four months ago, Bear developed an ear infection. Bi-weekly vet visits turned to weekly, countless medications, dermatologist appointments and $3,000 later it has been determined he needs his ear canal removed. The surgery is estimated to cost $6,000. Bear has been in pain for months and I have agreed to the surgery.
I am never one to ask for help and have to put my pride aside for Bear.
A few people have questioned why I would spend so much money on an older dog? I explain that otherwise his health is pristine but most importantly I made a promise to him.
Although he’s never seen my face or has heard how many times a day I say “I love you,” Bear knows he is wanted and loved.
I am asking for donations to give Bear the life he deserves; to give back to the dog that has given me so much. Thank you for taking the time to read Bears story.
