Hi friends & family,
I don’t usually post things like this, but I’m heading into a really challenging semester and could genuinely use some support. As part of my teaching program, I’m required to work 40 full hours a week of contract teaching without pay for the next 16 weeks until I graduate in May. I was actually planning to take next semester off so I could work more and save money, but my program doesn’t allow it — so now I’m in a position where I have to grind it out and make it work, even with no income during those hours.
I also never had a high school graduation party, and I won’t be having a college graduation party either. Because of that, I’ve never really had that moment where people come together to help me celebrate the huge milestones I’ve worked so hard for. Starting a fund feels a little scary and vulnerable, but it’s what I need right now as I take these last steps toward becoming a teacher.
After graduation, I’ll be moving down closer to Indy to begin my career. I’m excited and grateful for this next chapter, but the financial pressure of student teaching + moving is very real.
So I’m creating a small support fund to help me cover gas, basic expenses, classroom materials, and moving costs. Truly — even a few dollars helps more than you know. And if you can’t donate, sharing my post or sending encouragement means just as much.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and lifted me up along the way. I’m beyond grateful, and I can’t wait to make you all proud as I start my teaching journey.
