Bring Penny Home

My name is Erin and I am experiencing the worst crisis of my life right now. I have lost all custody of my 6-year-old daughter Penny, after reporting suspected abuse. I reported my concerns immediately, I protected all of my children emotionally and physically and have been cleared by CWS multiple times, and declared a safe and protective mother. I was sent home with Penny and as soon as our abuser found out about the allegations, he began threatening me. He took me to court days after I made my report and he Won! Not only did I lose custody, but I was also ordered to have professionally supervised visits. She is starting to become alienated and has not even wanted to talk to me anymore on the phone. I could never have believed that something like this could ever happen but unfortunately, I am finding that this happens all too often. I have joined a support group for Mothers who have lost custody during custody battles with narcissistic abusive ex-partners. I was always told a mother could never lose custody unless she was unfit, but that is not true. There has been NO finding by any court of my unfitness. The judge based his decision on declarations from the opposing party that had zero evidence to back them up. I brought evidence to the court in the form of CWS records and police records that prove I acted correctly, but it was ignored. I have filed for an ex parte to get some kind of relief from the supervised visitation and I was denied without ever being allowed to speak. The judge called us up and said he read our statements and he was going to deny my request. I filed an emergency appeal, and that was denied. My daughter has not been home since January 29th. She has not seen her siblings or her grandmother. She has only seen me a handful of times at a visitation center. This is very traumatizing for my entire family and I have reached the end of my rope for what I can manage on my own. I have depleted all of my resources fighting to bring her back, and I am asking for help from anyone who can help. Thank you to all who have referred attorneys to me. I have spoken with all of them and have found one who specializes in Family Law appeals and agreed to take my case. His retainer is $14K. My family has agreed to cover what they can. There is no guarantee I will get her back then either. Unfortunately, my ex has a lot of money to spend on this and his sister is an attorney and has connections.
