Jojo's Lasik Failure/Second Surgery

Thank you everyone that has been checking up on how I've been doing. As many of you know, my surgery(PRK) last April failed and I was never able to make a full recovery. The process has been an absolute nightmare, requiring new glasses, yet still being unable to work or drive. Since too much scar tissue has formed over eyes, glasses can only help so much. I am on leave at my job until it can be fixed. My next appointment is later this month and likely they will suggest a second surgery. The doctor's office I was seeing was extremely unhelpful and irresponsible. Since I cannot work, I needed to send paperwork to my company to file for disability so that I can protect my job, which they said wouldn't take more than a day. It took them 3 weeks. I had called almost every day to ensure it would be sent out. Every time they said it would be taken care of that day, and some kind of excuse came up. With my job on the line, I had to force them to stay on the phone until it was sent. They said the doctor was busy until the end of the day but after finally calling them out on their irresponsibility, he was free in a few minutes. He had already completed the paperwork, which I had found out, had been sitting on the doctors desk, completed for over a week. The complete negligence and irresponsibility in this office is unlike anything I've ever seen. Anyone that has been with me through this whole thing knows how frustrating it has been. This office also won't provide a refund if we get the second surgery with them, but with this kind of post-operative care, it is almost out of the question. They also won't guarantee a second surgery will work.I am currently pursuing other opinions and doctors in the meantime, and seeing if we can file a suit against them. We're not sure yet if there is a case to be taken, but we're hoping for one.For now there is not much that I can do but wait. A second surgery will hopefully remove the scar tissue and clear up my vision. For anyone wondering how I'm doing, I'm doing surprisingly well despite all the frustration. I am keeping myself busy with my art and hobbies. Occasionally my eyes will bother me, and I'll have to stay away from using my eyes. Not being able to see clearly can deplete my energy pretty quickly too. But I'm now feeling pretty strong, with just occasional bad days. I really appreciate all of the concerns. My goal is to just pick up where I left off as quickly as I can and bounce back from all of this.As for the costs of the second surgery, I would appreciate any help to me cover further treatment and additional costs/fees as a result of this whole process. Additional costs include uber/lyft rides to appointments since I can't drive, lawyer costs, and other post-surgery care costs. It would help a great deal and would really be appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has been checking up on me and giving me their support. Lots of love-JoJo
