Bruce’s Surgery

Hi everyone and thank you for reading this. Thursday Dec 5th at 4pm was Bruce’s last meal. He started throwing up throughout the night, most of the day Friday and into Saturday. Bruce wasn’t able to eat or drink anything for the those 2 days. Saturday morning I took Bruce to the vet and had x-rays done to find a large piece of corn stuck in his intestines. He needed to get emergency surgery and was transferred to Guelph animal Hospital. While they were monitoring him Saturday morning, they found he had an enlarged heart as well. Bruce had successful surgery Saturday night, but is progressing very slow. We are now on day five and Bruce hasn’t eaten anything. There is going to be tests done to help figure out how serious his heart condition is and how to move forward. We hope to have him home in the next day or two if he is able to eat. Fingers crossed. The vet bills as people may know have been quite expensive! I know financially it’s been a rough time for everybody. After everything is done, it will be around 12k-13k and unfortunately, I don’t have insurance.

Even the smallest amount helps, and goes strictly towards Bruce’s surgery cost, vet costs, post medication, and his recovery. I really appreciate anything you’re able to donate. Thank you guys very much. Bruce loves you all!
