Hello, my name is Angel Fidler, and this go fund is directed to helping my mother, Gina Fidler, who has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in stage 3.

Gina was diagnosed with cancer after being admitted to the hospital multiple times for excessive pain and bleeding. Her doctors ordered MRIs, ct scans and ultra sounds. Unfortunately, these medical scans could not be performed in the hospitals in her town. Meaning she had to travel to different cities hundreds of kilometres away. Because of the pain Gina has been in and the pain medication regime she has to be on, her husband has had to take time off work to drive and be her support system. Gina's cancer treatments and appointments will have her travel over 8 hours away for a 50-day medical schedule in Edmonton, AB, consisting of 25 rounds of radiation and five rounds of chemotherapy and a 4-day, around-the-clock internal radiation treatment. Luckily she will have her husband by her side. However, this means that her husband cannot work as she will need him to care for her. This diagnosis had blindsided them, drained them of their savings, and has the family with no source of income for the foreseeable future.

Gina is a mother of 6 and a grandmother to a little girl; she also has another grandchild on the way. Gina and her beautiful family need help financially. The cost of travel bills and medication that are not covered by her insurance and IA has left them scrambling for financial assistance. We are asking our community and our friend's communities to help lift some of this financial burden off my mother's shoulder, as she is dealing with fighting for her life; whatever you can donate will go towards keeping this family afloat during this difficult time, We appreciate all the generosity already and we appreciate the positive thoughts, and from the bottom of our hearts thank you all so much for the support and love shown.
