Help Bring Comfort to Tess in Her Time of Need

Dear friends, family, those who love Tess and kind strangers

We're reaching out today to ask for your support for someone incredibly special: our beloved friend Tess.

Tess is a rare soul. A proud South African, she’s spent her life traveling the world, forming deep connections and friendships with those lucky enough to have met her.

Tess has always lived with a wide open heart and a vibrant spirit.

But now, life has taken a turn. Tess is suffering with dementia and the illness has gradually taken away something that defined her so deeply — her independence.

She is now back in Cape Town, where she’s receiving care, but the journey is difficult. Dementia is not only emotionally taxing, it comes with many practical and financial challenges — from medical needs and full-time assistance to creating a living environment that allows her some peace, dignity, and comfort.

We want to offer Tess what she’s given to so many others: love, warmth, and support. Every contribution — no matter the size — will go directly towards improving her quality of life. This includes covering the cost of:

Comfortable, familiar surroundings to ease confusion and anxiety

Little touches of joy that'll hopefully make her smile and keep her stimulated (please feel free to post any photos or videos to her FB page where we can access them for her)

Tess found her community in psychadelic trance. Her love of people, music, parties and festivals meant she'd always be at the centre of good times, surrounded by those she loved the most. Friends, family and mostly even strangers who she'd treat equally, generously and most importantly, respectfully. This could well have been her most special gift to us all.
