Hello. I am a friend of Beth’s, helping her to raise money while she battles ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Beth was diagnosed on April 4, 2023. ALS is a fatal motor neuron disease that affects nerve and muscle function, basically eating muscles away, often leaving its victims completely paralyzed, unable to eat, talk, or even breathe on their own. The only thing still functioning is their mind. It’s like being mummified alive. There is NO cure for ALS.

beth is currently using a wheelchair and has a feeding tube to eat and limited use of her hands. She needs assistance with dressing, bathing and basic living. She requires a caregiver to help assist with daily living needs and she can not be left alone.

As you can imagine, the cost of this disease, the equipment, and home care is staggering. Experts agree that not only is it one of the worst diseases to be diagnosed with, it is also one of the most expensive.

As many of you know, Beth’s husband Bill was injured a few years back in an on-the-job accident, leaving him unable to work full-time the last few years. Between this diagnosis and Bill’s accident, this family has been emotionally and financially devastated. Please help them to be able to pay for basic care, utilities, and food.
