Power scotter needed

Hi my name is Bernice Foster i am 53 year old loving mother, first time grandmother, aunt, sister and a daughter. I worked for Department of Corrections for 20 year's before  retiring in 2004, I raised a wonderful son who recently  had his first child.   After I retired i did a little traveling but in 2007 i suddenly had a massive stroke which left me partially paralyzed  and confined to a while chair.
Because of the state I live in my pension and benefits I worked so hard for over 20 year's does not provide much for me.  In order for me to get a home health aid or motorized scooter I have to pay out of pocket and I'm barely covering my meds an cost of living. I have a nurse which only covers my medically necessary needs. So in order to regain some of my Independence get out during the day without to much assistance am now reaching out to my Facebook family my Department of corrections family and many of my friends to help me regain my Independence back. I am trying to raise money to purchase a motorized scooter an help with a small part of my cost of living so that I can get around on my own and I am not confined at home to a wheelchair or to my bed most of the week. I have always been a very proud hard working responsible person and do not like asking for handouts which is why this is very hard for me to do but I am really in need at this time. I have just recently became a first-time grandma and I am very excited about that and now that my son has his own family an will soon be married I cannot expect him or want him to feel obligated to be stuck at home after a hard days work and dealing with a newborn to also come home and make sure I get out and I get around, so I humbly ask that if you guys can donate whatever you can afford and share my GoFundMe with your friend's an family i would truly appreciate it.
