On January 11th, our lives were deeply saddened by the passing of Lydia Munoz Rivas. Not only was she my amazing Nana, she was a wonderful Mother, Daughter, Sister and most importantly a fighter. She battled cancer for more than 3 years and looked amazing while doing so. No matter what type of mood she was in, as long as the sun was shining then, in her words, "It was a beautiful day".  Her goofiness and kindness was always so contagious, even on her hard days. My Nana, Lydia, will forever be remembered for her gorgeous red hair, vivacious personality and delicious food. I know she will always be watching over me and my family.
