Honoring DogCatcherDude

This is my brother-in-law Jeff, aka "DogCatcher". Jeff beat the sh*t out of colon cancer last year. He was strong and brave, and made fighting cancer look easy. Jeff went in for routine blood work a few weeks ago, and found that his cancer is back with a vengeance in his stomach, and a spot in his trachea area. Jeff is scheduled to have surgery this week to remove the masses in his stomach, and will have chemo and radiation for the spot on his trachea. Jeff did his best to work while undergoing chemo last cancer go round, and will again, but with large deductibles , car payments, and a mortgage. Cancer makes paying your bills hard. First round of cancer made life hard for my sweet brother-in-law and sister, and they are still paying off medical bills from round one. I want to help make the second round not so hard financially.

Now you know WHY Jeff needs your donations....Now I want to explain why YOU should donate.

Jeff has been a public servant for 28 years working for animal services. He has spent his life working to rescue and re-home animals of all kinds. Jeff works tirelessly for a non-profit organization that he helped create called Feeding the Homeless Pets of Tulsa. He spends every Wednesday morning and Thursday night handing out food to homeless people so that they can feed their pets, and make sure that they have vacinations and collars for idenitification.  The rest of the week he spends advertsising and collecting donations for his organization. Jeff gives and gives and gives, and asks for nothing in return. If that doesn't tug at your heart strings, I'll give you some more about Jeff that will. Jeff married my sister a handful of years after my sister lost her previous husband in a horrible car wreck. Jeff helped my sister smile again, laugh again, and love again. Jeff stepped up and became a father to my young newphew wanting nothing in return. Jeff and his natural children took my sister and newphew in, and have loved them unconditionally since. Jeff has a huge heart. He is funny and loving and laidback. Jeff doesn't deserve cancer (not that anyone does!!), but Jeff keeps trucking along with his chin up and a positive attitude.

I implore you to help my family make this round of cancer treatments not sooooo financially devastating as last time.
