My wife Karinna and I made travel arrangements to Athens before we found out we were pregnant. Our
doctor knew we were traveling and everything seemed ok to him, so we didn't cancel our trip. After the plane ride to Athens, Karinna my wife started feeling bad. I took her to the hospital where immediately she was admitted. She was almost 22 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with a medical condition called cervix insufficiency and premature rupture of the membranes. We soon realized the vacation was over and the fight to save our little daughter had begun. Karinna was few weeks on bed rest at the hospital until December the 9th 2015 when Mia Ariadne our little daughter was born. She was only 26 weeks old at birth, she weighed 1.5 lb and measured 12.5". She was in the neonatal ICU for 95 days where with the help of the doctors and the help of God she was able to survive. She is our little miracle. Many things are happening to our family while we are here, such as finding temporary living arrangements, finding ways to pay for rent, transportation, baby's medical needs, medical bills ect. At this moment we are not working. As you can only imagine it has been a very hard situation, that is why we are asking you for your help, anything will help us. Currently the doctors said the baby is save, but unable to fly back home due to the altitude and air pressure, unless we are able to pay for a medical transport or air ambulance. In order to fly back using a commercial airliner the baby will need anywhere from 6 months to a year for her lungs to be fully develop. In the meantime baby Mia, my wife Karinna and I will be here in Greece. Please help us pay for the medical transport and other needs, so that we can be back home soon. Thank you and God bless you and your family.
