Ryan’s Medical Bills
Donation protected
Ryan had a stroke on June 14. He had a large stroke in his cerebellum and a small stroke in his occipital lobe. He spent 10 days in the hospital. 8 of those were in the ICU. He has made an amazing recovery! He has some slight weakness on one side and has physical therapy weekly. Currently he is wearing a heart monitor to check for heart dysrhythmia and taking various medications for high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and for cholesterol (stroke protocol). We are also waiting for an appointment for a sleep study for his sleep apnea. During this time he has been out of work. His doctor says he can go back but we are waiting on a form from his work that needs to be filled out.
Ryans does have insurance but that doesn’t mean he has no medical bills. Currently he owes about $5000, almost $3000 of that is from the ambulance ride from the local hospital to the larger hospital in Ogden. He also has a car payment that will be due soon.
We too have missed a lot of work that has impacted our ability to be able to help Ryan financially.
If you are able to help out at all, we would greatly appreciated it.
Thank you for all your positive thoughts and prayers during this time. Seeing your child, no matter how old they are, in a hospital bed and hooked up to all kinds of wires and IV’s is terrifying and I pray none of you ever have to face this.
