Conrod Martin Jr. (known as CJ by many) is a young 26-year-old father who came to the States to better his life and lay the foundation for that of his children. With a vivid passion for motorcycles, CJ dreamt of spending time on the open roads cruising on his favorite bike. One fateful night while on his way home visiting the 9/11 Memorial, his dreams were cut short.
Just a few minutes before arriving home, CJ was suddenly hit head-on by a driver making the wrong turn going in the opposite direction. He flew 100 feet, landing face flat on the ground. CJ suffered multiple fractures as well as injuries and had to undergo numerous costly procedures. These procedures included having rods placed in his legs, reconstructive surgeries, and orthopedic surgery to piece his hips/pelvis back together.
Three weeks later, CJ is facing a long road to recovery as well as the challenge of not being able to make use of his mobility. To add to the devastation, CJ has to pay for all these life-saving procedures by himself as he does not have medical coverage. He may be facing thousands of dollars in medical care. Without a way to pay for the multiple specialists' follow-ups, additional procedures, ambulance transportation to and from appointments, as well as therapy sessions; CJ may never walk again.
Never did CJ imagine that he may never be able to take his daughter on walks or play ball with his son.
In addition to prayers, we are asking for any monetary aid that anyone can contribute to saving this young man’s mobility. To anyone who has given already, we thank you in advance.
