Hello!! My name is Darrell Barkley.

In April of 2017 a motorist ran off the road and blindsided me going about 60mph while I was walking across my jobsite. My life was changed forever. The accident could have killed me, but it has changed my life forever.

I will never be the same.

On April 28, 2025 I was served a summons stating that my home, and property were placed in foreclosure due to outstanding taxes I have been unable to pay. My Mother passed on when I was sixteen. My Father followed her when I was thirty-two. Since his passing on December 26, 2002... I have been in a tailspin of turmoil trying to transfer his property into my name... but more importantly, I have suffered years of physical accidents, and medical issues which as of yet have not stopped. The wreck I mentioned previously broke me deeper than physically.

I am currently on my fourth application in the Disability Determination process. I haven't been truly, gainfully employed since 2017.

Although I have skimmed by, I have been existing in survival mode as opposed to actually living, contributing, and thriving.

I live alone with my dog, and five cats in the home my parents moved us into when I was ten. It's been forty-five years here. This is where I found my Father had passed on the day after Christmas.

While everyone has their hardships, I have to recognize my own. I have initially created this fundraising page because I can't afford to lose this home, and I cannot make it on my own any longer.

The clock is ticking. Life does not take a day off. There is so much more to the details of my issues, and the description of these situations I have faced, and still currently find myself overwhelmed with. I have entered an starting amount to begin with so that I can start sharing my needs, but this page will continue to be revised as I make progress in it's completion.

I never wanted to ask anyone for assistance, but I have to be extremely realistic. I can not do this on my own without your help, and support.
