Help the Garcia Family Rebuild After Fire

On February 10, 2025, the Garcia family—Juan, Linette, their children Dylan and Ilyanna, along with Dylan’s fiancée Alyssa Durocher—experienced an unimaginable tragedy when a fire tore through their Putnam Valley home. While we are beyond grateful that everyone was not home at the time, Dylan and Alyssa did lose their beloved dog named Loki. The damage is extensive, and the family has lost everything they have built in the last 30 years living there.

Now, they are facing the overwhelming task of recouping the losses and rebuilding everything from the ground up. And if anyone who has been through a disaster like this knows, the road to recovery is full of unexpected challenges.

Juan and Linette are more than just members of the Putnam Valley community. Juan has been a volunteer firefighter for PV for over a decade, and both their children are graduates of the Putnam Valley School District. Their passion for this community is unmatched.
